Fix Me In The Mix is a new documentary we’ve spent the past year bringing to life. Narrated by Mat Sargent, the film traces the making of the Sex, Drugs and HIV album, uncovering the stories, struggles, and sheer determination behind it. Directed by Mat’s son, Alex Sargent, the documentary blends raw studio footage, candid kitchen table conversations, and Mat’s deeply personal journey living with HIV/AIDS.
This is a front line look at what it really takes to build an album featuring more than 200 guest musicians. The film captures the pressure, the chaos, the breakthroughs, and the scale of a project that by all rights should have been impossible. Alongside the original studio sessions, Fix Me In The Mix includes new interviews with musicians 15 years after the album’s completion, reflecting on their memories and why its message still resonates.
Fix Me In The Mix stands as a testament to determination, creativity under pressure, collaboration, and the healing force of music.
Coming soon! Meanwhile... here's a little teaser.
